Ho hum. We have been floating about since the 20th without sight of land. The constant noise and boat motion is very tiring. It is very hard to do anything that requires much concentration without starting to feel queasy. There has been very little wildlife. Some birds (mostly petrels with a few albatross and one or two skua), and apparently some dolphins have been about the only things outside the boat. For those of you who remember my description of the boat from last year, the mess area has been revamped - it is a serve yourself affair now, with an area set aside as a lounge. The chairs might me good for a smaller person, but I find them a bit uncomfortable.
